Ordering and shipping
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on most orders over $59 within the 48 contiguous United States. Orders under $59 ship by expedited flat-rate shipping for $9.96, which takes 2 to 4 business days once the order leaves us. Free shipping does not apply to orders over 150 lbs, to bulk bags, or to international orders. The full detail is on Shipping and Returns.
How soon will my order ship?
Most orders need 1 to 2 business days of handling before they ship from Galesburg, Michigan, and some orders placed before 1pm Eastern go out the same day. We don’t ship on Sundays or US public holidays; those orders go out on the next working day.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes, to Canada, Mexico and selected European countries. International orders don’t qualify for free shipping, and any import duties charged in your country are yours to pay.
How do I track my order?
Use Tracking Order with your order number and the email address you checked out with. If you have an account, your orders are also listed under My Account.
I entered the wrong address. What now?
Contact us as soon as you notice. We can correct it if the order hasn’t shipped yet. Orders returned to us as undeliverable because of an address error are re-shipped at the standard shipping rate.
Returns and refunds
Can I return something?
Yes. Send it back unused and in its original packaging. First email refunds@hidesandknives.com for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, then mail the item, with tracking, to 1541 N. 30th St., Galesburg, MI 49053.
Who pays for return shipping?
If the return is for a reason that isn’t our fault, you pay for return shipping. We can send you a prepaid label and take its cost out of the refund. If we made a mistake, we send a prepaid label at no charge. Original shipping costs are not refunded.
When will I get my refund?
Within 24 to 48 hours of the return reaching us and being inspected, back to your original payment method. If it hasn’t arrived after that, email refunds@hidesandknives.com and we’ll sort it out.
I bought from you on another website.
Return it to the retailer you bought it from. Their return policy applies, not ours.
Warranty
What if something I bought fails?
If it fails because of how it was made, such as the stitching, the hardware or a material defect, tell us and we’ll put it right. Send your proof of purchase and a clear photo of the problem through File a Claim. Manufacturing defects are covered for up to five years from purchase; the terms, including what isn’t covered, are on Our Warranty.
I bought from another retailer. Am I covered?
Register the purchase on Warranty Registration within 30 days so we have a record of it.
